Why are antique dealers and collector so vague when asking you if you have a particular item to sell?
I have garage sales from time to time and invariable an antique dealer or collector will stop. They usually ask for things that aren't out for sale like old camera equipment, china with flowers on it ...
I have garage sales from time to time and invariable an antique dealer or collector will stop. They usually ask for things that aren't out for sale like old camera equipment, china with flowers on it or furniture. Then I knock myself out lugging the stuff out from the house only to be told "Oh, that isn't what I'm really looking for." Why don't they be specific, then? Like old Polaroid cameras before 1912 or china marked Limoges? Then I could tell them right away if I had it or not.
