Top ten attractions in Guilin

Li River

Maoer from Shan (wild cat) in Xing'an County, north of Guilin, Li River winds southward for about 437 km, passing through Guilin, Yangshuo, Pingle and Zhaoping and finally meets the Xi (West) on the river Wuzhou. It boasts the largest tourist area and most beautiful in China and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

The 83 km long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo is the masterpiece of an artist. The landscape is decorated with stunning hills, cliffs, caves and villages of agriculture, and is lined with bamboo. In a Chinese poem that is written: "The river is a green silk ribbon, and the hills are jade hairpins."

Reed Flute Cave

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) is an interesting natural sculpture gallery (cave formations of limestone), now reinforced by illumination of various colors, which has been one of the many attractions in Guilin is interesting for more than 1200 years. It is considered one of the four tourist sites in the city.

Reed Flute Cave is located in the northwest suburbs of the city of Guilin (only 4 km from downtown). The entrance is by Ludi (Reed Flute) Road on the south side of Guangming (Bright Light) Hill. The cave is named after a type of growth outside of cane, which can become melodic flutes. The cave is filled with a large number of stalactites, stalagmites and strangely shaped rock formations and wonderful.

Elephant Trunk Hill

Elephant Trunk Hill, also known as Elephant Hill, is located at the confluence of Li River and Peach Blossom River in the central-southern city of Guilin. It looks like a huge elephant's trunk and spreads its water drinking, hence the name. Hill elephant's trunk is the symbol of Guilin and the karst landscape.

Seven Star Park

Seven Star Park takes its name from its seven peaks which are arranged as a constellation of Ursa Major (with the handle leaning forward). The park is on the eastern side of the Li River in downtown Guilin. Attractions in the park include: Seven Star Cave, Dragon cave hideout, Flower Bridge, the Zoo, Maping Mosque, Stele Forest Guihaia and more. Covering an area of 1.34 square kilometers, is the largest park in Guilin, and contains some of the best sights of the city.

Daxu Ancient Town

Located southwest of Guilin, in coastal tourist-like Li River. Daxu is an ancient city with well preserved traditional Chinese architecture and the bright stone paved streets. The first was built in the Qin Dynasty, over 2,000 years ago, Daxu city began to flourish during the Ming Dynasty, when it became the commercial center of the area.

Main attractions here are paved streets, Longevity Bridge (Bridge of longevity), many old buildings and century-old pier. A main road 2.5 miles long and 2 meters wide extends through the city. This narrow street, with its stones polished by the time and steps, is full of character. Longevity Bridge is a unique bridge arches built in the Ming Dynasty. Along the river is well preserved many buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. These wooden structures with eaves of color beautifully carved and decorated doors and window frames, are homes to many local residents. A walk through you afford a leisurely look at traditional courtyard where grandmothers are sometimes telling stories to a circle of young children. Thirteen docks are still in the Ming Dynasty, including five well-preserved the still functioning.

Xingping

Located 27 km from Yangshuo, on the east bank of Li River, is a former Xingping city with a history of more 1300 years. Apart from the well preserved Ming dynasty architecture, dominating the city, and fine wood carving that dates back more than five hundred years, Xingping boast some of the best natural scenery around the area a bit better than in Yangshuo. The seven mountains surrounding the village, two that are at the entrance to keep the place a spiritual sanctuary outside the modern world.

There are scenes as charming as "Pretty Woman" look in the mirror "," General unsheathing the sword "and" drinking from the river carp.

Merryland

Guilin Merry World Land is a project built by Mr. Ma Lin, Zhi. This project was planned in 1992 and built in 1997. Xin'an is found in about one hour from Guilin and covers an area over 70 square kilometers.

Merry Land includes a high-tech amusement park, 5-star Hotel and Golf Course Complex

Merryland Park Theme

The theme park covers 90 acres and has five sections: Merry American City Wild West, Dream World, Pirate Village, Pacific area South and Forest Area. All clothing, food, attractions, shows and entertainment in each section are themed and very realistic.
